VENI ACADEMY is a community of young people who like to play music that they do not normally come across at school. Experienced teachers, mostly players of VENI ensemble, teach them how to play such music and take care of their further artistic development.
VENI ACADEMY is now continue in Banská Bystrica. Since 2010 we organised dozens of concerts in Slovakia, Europe, but also in New York, recorded and released two CDs and organised academies for more than 300 students from 10 countries.
Our academy will have two foreign guests from the Czech Republic – violinist David Danel and pianist and composer Michal Nejtek, who composed the song At Last (I Am Freak) for this year’s academy. Both will also be lecturers of the academy.
We are offering you a one and only opportunity to apply for the autumn academy 2022 which will take place between 10 and 16 October 2022 in banská Bystrica.
It does not matter which instrument you play. However, you should ideally be a student of whichever year at a conservatory or a university of music and you should know your musical instrument truly well.

Places:
The Academy will take place in the premises of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, Ján Kollár 22.
The first concert performance will take place in the Cikker Hall in Banská Bystrica, Námestie SNP 1. The second concert performance will take place in the Moyzes Hall in Bratislava.
Conditions:
– participation at the academy is possible for up to 20 students
– we will provide and pay for accommodation in Banská Bystrica for up to 10 students
– the application form needs to be sent by September 10th, 2022 by filling in a questionnaire
– make sure that you bring all necessary sound equipment provided that your musical instrument (e.g. an electric guitar, a keyboard) requires it
– you will receive all further information after sending the application form
