VENI ACADEMY is a community of young people eager to play music they wouldn’t typically encounter at school. Experienced mentors, primarily members of the VENI ensemble, guide them in discovering new ways of playing while fostering their artistic growth. VENI ACADEMY returns to Banská Bystrica once again! Over the years, this project has delivered dozens of concerts in Slovakia, across Europe, and even in New York. It has recorded and released two CDs and organized academies for over 400 students from 12 countries worldwide.

This year’s academy will be particularly special, as we will host three international guests – Robert Kurdybacha (PL), artistic director of Sound Factory, composer, and educator; violist Péter Tornyai (HU); and violinist David Danel (CZ). All guest artists will also serve as academy mentors. The teaching team will further include clarinetist Ronald Šebesta (SK) and pianist Tibor Feledi (SK).

We’re offering you the unique opportunity to apply for the 2025 academy, which will take place from February 12–17, 2025, in Banská Bystrica.

No matter what instrument you play, you’re welcome to join us! Ideally, you should be a student of any year at a music conservatory or university and have a good command of your instrument.
